Job summary

Hydro Energy is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee financial integrity, performance, and compliance at the plant level. You will act as a strategic advisor to the plant manager, ensuring timely financial reporting and driving cost reduction initiatives.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, partnering with operations to align financial goals with plant performance and enterprise objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Progressive 8 years of accounting experience, with a focus in cost accounting and managerial experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in systems such as Oracle, SAP, AS400, Hyperion, ADP, Ultimate, full ERP capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Owns monthly closing cycles to reflect the plant’s financial position (P&L, capital base, cash from operations).
• Directs monthly physical inventories.
• Provides financial analysis support to line managers and Plant Manager.
• Leads planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the operation.
• Ensures internal controls and safeguards company assets.
• Leads finance and procurement staff and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
