The role partners with senior management to improve reporting and analytics, leads the budgeting and forecasting cycle, and ensures accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting and cost accounting across manufacturing operations. On-site position with strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 15+ years of accounting/finance experience and 2+ years of cost accounting.
• Manufacturing experience required; Defense industry strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of supervisory experience; strong leadership skills.
• Infor LN highly preferred; ERP and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Meet corporate reporting and federally mandated reporting requirements of the business units for operation.
• Manage, train, and evaluate accounting staff.
• Act as Business Partner; Partner with Senior Management to enhance understanding of business unit trends and reporting and analytics capability.
• Lead the Financial Planning process (annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecasts).
• Lead the Financial Closing process – ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze costs and collaborate with Operations/Engineering on root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and update standard costs for material and labor/overhead.
• Analyze inventory valuation and reserve calculations; propose adjustments.
• Lead performance variance analysis; prepare explanations and recommendations.
• Lead capital spending plans and CAR process.
• Manage Net Working Capital and inventory optimization.
• Prepare rolling cash forecast and manage cash flow.
• Conduct cost modeling and scenario analyses for strategic initiatives.
• Perform special projects to support process excellence and growth.
• Review GAAP compliance and maintain accounting records.
• Review staff performance and make salary and staffing recommendations.
