JBS Plainwell is hiring an Assistant Controller to work with our Accounting team. The successful candidate will have 2-4 years of accounting or finance experience. Come work with JBS!

We offer growth, great benefits and fun, fast paced environment. This position will report to the Controller. Responsibilities include managing all accounting and financial aspects of the plant, GAAP compliance, SOX, coordinating close, preparing journal entries, and supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong MS Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP) expected.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all accounting and financial aspects of the plant.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Manage end-to-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Suggest improvements to productivity, efficiency, and cost control.
• Supervise staff and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
