Job summary

Dexter, a leading provider of axles and towing components, is seeking a Plant Controller to lead financial reporting and planning for all plant locations. The role focuses on profitability, cost control, and continuous improvement, aligning operational performance with financial results.

You will partner with plant leadership to provide insightful analyses, manage budgeting and forecasting, and maintain strong internal controls in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or comparable discipline and at least 10 years related progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Significant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, inventory accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Master's Degree and/or CMA/CPA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant management to drive profitability, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Provide timely financial analysis, budgeting, forecast, and commentary to leadership.
• Ensure internal controls and GAAP reporting across all sites.
• Support capital expenditures and month-end close activities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or comparable discipline

Master's Degree and/or CMA/CPA preferred
