Job summary

General Aluminum Manufacturing – Ravenna Plant seeks a Plant Controller to oversee financial operations, analyze costs, and provide actionable insights for profitability. The role requires completing month-end close, managing GLs, and supporting ERP initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in accounting/finance with 6–10 years in manufacturing accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and ERP experience (Plex/SAP). Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
• 6–10 yrs prior relevant experience in Manufacturing Accounting and Controlling.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• ERP system experience esp. Plex, SAP or similar.
• Good judgment, problem identification and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Close month, quarter, and year-end; prepare financial statements.
• Maintain General Ledger accuracy and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Manage Fixed Assets accounting, depreciation, and disposals.
• Conduct variance analyses (cost, scrap, labor, overhead) and explain deviations.
• Analyze key indicators (part weights, cycle rates, scrap) to improve operations.
• Coordinate Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll GLs.
• Prepare financial forecasts and projections.
• Assist or test ERP improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
