Job summary

Glanbia Nutritionals, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Controller for our Gooding, ID facility. You will provide weekly and monthly plant performance analysis, participate in budgeting and forecasting, and partner with plant leadership to drive operational improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related experience; CPA/CMA preferred. You will develop standardized reporting across sites and supervise accounting staff, supporting a data-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum five years related experience.
• CPA, CMA or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, journals, procedures, or regulations.
• Ability to motivate and influence a diverse group of people.
• Ability to write reports and procedures.
• Ability to present information to managers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly and monthly plant performance analysis, including cheese yield, production reporting and plant loss reporting.
• Partner with Gooding leadership to influence operations decisions with analytical insight.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and plant procedures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost analysis for maintenance, lab/quality, transportation, ingredients and packaging.
• Assist with inventory control for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.
• Assist with variance analysis and reporting as part of plant planning processes.
• Standardize reporting and analysis across manufacturing locations.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting for plant operations.
• Review results for reasonableness and investigate root causes.
• Cross-train with team members and share knowledge across the group.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff.
