Job summary

Siemens Mobility in North Texas is seeking a Plant Controller to lead the plant's commercial finance, drive strategic targets, and partner with the Plant Manager on performance. You will oversee master data, inventory, and KPI development while shaping digitalization initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Finance in manufacturing.

• Deep SCM and manufacturing process understanding beyond finance.
• Strong SAP FI/CO knowledge; experience with Tableau, Snowflake, KNIME, PowerBI and AI.
• Strong networking and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

As the Plant Controller, you will make an impact by:

• manage all commercial activities and be responsible for the commercial success of the plant.
• be part of the plant’s leadership team and the commercial partner to the Plant Manager
• manage all commercial activities and be responsible for the commercial success of the plant.
• help define long term strategic targets and drive implementation by breaking them into achievable short-term objectives in a highly dynamic environment.
• support and drive accuracy of master data and value flow in factories aiming at standardization and Sherpa readiness
• evaluate and ensure alignment of operational and commercial targets. Develop KPI’s to measure such targets and collaborate cross-functionally to take corrective actions as necessary.
• implement new systems, software and tools and enhance existing ones to ensure optimal support of technical and financial needs, e.g. SAP, MES, etc.
• actively manage inventory by tracking variations, monitoring excess, booking reserves, analyzing cycle counts etc. Closely coordinate with purchasing, planning, and logistics to understand movements and their corresponding impacts to the financials.
• innovate by standardizing and digitalizing existing processes and identify opportunities to develop new KPI’s or reporting that adds business value.
• design, implement and monitor internal controls within the plant to ensure accuracy of books and records and process adherence, identify any gaps or weaknesses and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• recruit, manage, assess, and develop team members by setting challenging targets and ensure achievement by motivating, encouraging and advising as required.

You will make a standout if you have the following qualifications:

• BS in Accounting, Finance. Advanced degree in Finance preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Finance, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Experience and in-depth know-how of large and complex manufacturing environments
• Comprehensive SCM- and manufacturing process understanding (beyond finance)
• Very strong in-depth knowledge of SAP (FI/CO) and digitalization- / automation tools (Tableau, Snowflake, KNIME, PowerBI, etc.) and AI
• Strong Networking-, Collaboration- and Stakeholder Management skills
• Ability to effectively manage deadlines, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting process.
• Experience and track record in developing and directing teams as well as to manage and develop individuals
• Strong impact on results in own area.

The pay range for this position is $122,951 - $210,773 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
