The successful candidate will have 7+ years in manufacturing finance, a finance or accounting degree (MBA/CPA/CMA a plus), and strong IT skills including Excel, SAP, and HFM.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Plant controller is the key financial position on the plant's leadership team.

  • This role is responsible for the organization, direction, and controls of all aspects of the assigned plant's accounting and financial functions, which includes timely and accurate reporting to Amcor. And in full compliance with US GAAP and Amcor policies.

  • Leads analysis and communication of financial information to support effective business decisions. Including interpreting results and making recommendations to Plant leadership, Sales, and Business Unit Leadership teams, along with an emphasis on change leadership and outperformance.

  • Supports the Business Unit by providing training on systems and financial processes ensuring that a high standard of controllership is maintained across all plants.

  • Demonstrate and foster Amcor Values, including safety actions and participation.

  • Ownership of Plant P&L, inventory (working capital), month and quarterly forecasts, financial comparisons, and explanations of actual results versus the financial estimates delivering insights and clear explanations for leadership.

  • Drives a strategic vision for optimal results and communicates to and coordinates with the teams to achieve those objectives.

  • Ensure plant management understands operational levers that affect plant profitability. Including training and development of financial acumen to the plant leadership team.

  • Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports - material usage, cost statements, profit and loss statements, manufacturing statistics, labor analysis, and sales analysis.

  • Balance sheet analysis and reconciliation for key accounts, including inventory.

  • Act as significant contributor to Site/BU commercial excellence utilizing profitability tools such as PMDB and providing strategic guidance on customer profit performance and trends.

  • Understand and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, DOA and SOX

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in finance (mainly in manufacturing) roles

  • Bachelor's in finance or accounting, (MBA, CPA or CMA a plus)

  • Top-notch analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly

  • Robust IT systems aptitude (Excel, SAP, HFM, PowerPoint)

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 to $122,500; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $98,000 to $147,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits. The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, including CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations. Compensation for roles performed outside of these jurisdictions may vary. The Company reserves the right to modify this range at any time.
