Job Overview

LSB Industries is seeking a Plant Controller to join our team. The position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and Plant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting policies, principles, practices, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial statements for management guidance. This role involves contact with senior executives, external auditors, and securities attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Accounts Payable
• Prepare daily plant reports for management
• Develop annual budgets in collaboration with plant management and corporate personnel
• Conduct cost control analysis and implement changes
• Review and approve vendor invoices daily
• Manage annual inventory procedures
• Prepare month-end closing entries, including gas and electricity costs
• Monitor plant financial data regularly
• Maintain fixed asset, accrued liabilities, profit & loss, and other account books
• Prepare monthly financial packages for corporate and plant personnel
