Job summary

Brilliant® is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee divisional and plant operations for multiple locations and lead all finance and accounting activities for assigned sites. This contract position targets 4–6 months and requires heavy manufacturing experience and strong leadership in a high-energy environment.

The ideal candidate will have a BA in Accounting or Finance, 7–10+ years of manufacturing accounting, and SAP/SAP S/4 Hana proficiency to drive cost accounting and reporting improvements.

Qualifications

• B.A. degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• SAP experience required; SAP S/4 Hana highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial activities for multiple plant operations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Advise senior leadership on financial objectives.
• Manage cost accounting functions including BOM, FICO, and inventory valuations.
• Provide analysis on inventory and costing projects.
• Support process improvements and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project execution.
• Work with site GMs and corporate leaders.
• Provide training and mentoring to team members.

Our client, a US-based, Fortune 500 Manufacturer is seeking a Plant Controller consultant to oversee divisional and plant operations for multiple locations. This unique position will lead all finance and accounting activities for assigned sites. Ideal candidate will have heavy manufacturing experience with strong leadership skills to work in this high energy, fast paced environment. This is a contract position targeting 4-6 months.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial activities related to multiple plant operations.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
• Advise senior leadership on short and long term financial objectives
• Manage all cost accounting related functions including: bill of materials, FICO, inventory valuations, etc.
• Provide a variety of analysis on projects relating to inventory and costing
• Support continual process improvements and system enhancements
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution
• Collaborate frequently with site General Managers and Corporate Leaders
• Provide technical and functional training and mentoring to team members

Qualifications:

• B.A. degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7-10+ years of progressive Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• General understanding of Accounting principles related to US GAAP
• Preferred certifications of either CPA, MBA, or CMA
• SAP required; SAP S/4 Hana experience highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of cost accounting, analysis, and reporting
• Required experience within a plant or on-site manufacturing location
