Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7-12 years of experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or plant finance roles.
• Experience in middle-market or private equity-backed manufacturing/industrial environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting, with plant controller or batch manufacturing experience a plus.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights and drive process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and decision support to plant management to drive operational performance and sound business decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and AOP processes, including weekly projections and quarterly updates.
• Oversee monthly financial close, including full responsibility for P&L and balance sheet accuracy and reporting.
• Drive cost control and continuous improvement initiatives across labor, materials, overhead, and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze financial and operational performance (e.g., variances, KPIs, inventory, product costing) to identify efficiencies and support corrective actions.
• Manage capital planning and expenditures, including evaluating investment proposals, tracking project performance, and ensuring alignment with financial targets and controls.
