Job summary

CFS is seeking a Plant Controller in the Chicago area to directly influence plant-level financial strategy and performance. You will own budgeting, variance analysis, and month-end close while partnering with leadership to drive cost reductions and operational improvements.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 7+ years of relevant experience and hands-on ERP/Microsoft Excel proficiency. This is a full-time, on-site role with strong benefits and bonus potential.

• 2+ years of Plant Controller experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant budgets including labor, materials, and operational costs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead month-end close and report financial results to leadership.
• Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accuracy of adjustments.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities across all cost drivers.
• Maintain internal controls and support ERP system utilization.
