Job summary

CFS in Chicago, IL is seeking a Plant Controller to partner with plant leadership, own the full P&L, and drive cost optimization in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.

You will manage budgets, lead month-end close, and deliver actionable insights to improve financial performance while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of Plant Controller experience.
• Inventory and manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant budgets including labor, materials, and operational costs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead month-end close and report financial results to leadership.
• Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accuracy of adjustments.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities across all cost drivers.
• Maintain internal controls and support ERP system utilization.
