CFS is seeking a Plant Controller to lead financial operations for a Chicago-area food manufacturing facility. You will own the plant’s budget, manage cost controls, and partner with plant leadership to drive financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of Plant Controller experience.
• Inventory and manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant budgets including labor, materials, and operational costs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead month-end close and report financial results to leadership.
• Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accuracy of adjustments.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities across all cost drivers.
• Maintain internal controls and support ERP system utilization.
