Job summary

A manufacturing facility seeks a Plant Controller to lead financial operations at the plant level, overseeing reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in cost accounting strongly preferred.
• MBA or CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial lead and a key member of the site leadership team.
• Manage and oversee the plant’s income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Own and deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead cost accounting activities, including coordination with broader finance teams.
• Manage inventory controls and material usage, including physical inventory and cycle counts.
• Monitor and analyze labor productivity and support operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, including audit support and training.
• Analyze monthly financial results and collaborate with plant leadership to drive improvements.
• Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and support monthly planning processes.
• Lead the capital expenditure (CapEx) process, including forecasting, project justification, and tracking results.
• Drive cost reduction, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support financial performance improvements across multiple facilities as needed.
• High level of interaction with operations, finance, and cross‑functional teams.
• Based in a manufacturing facility with occasional travel to other locations.
• Combination of office and plant floor exposure.
