Job summary

Amentum in Oak Ridge, TN, is seeking a senior BIM designer specializing in plant design and piping to join our engineering team.

You will develop piping layouts, coordinate with HVAC, structural, and civil groups, and support stress analysis and material list generation.

Travel may be required; candidates should have extensive BIM tool experience and a strong background in chemical process industries.

Qualifications

• AS degree or higher required
• 10+ years using BIM tools for Plant Design
• Chemical process industrial mechanical/piping design experience
• Nuclear Piping Design Experience is Preferred
• Candidates local to Oak Ridge, TN preferred with travel flexibility

Responsibilities

• Develop piping systems and equipment layouts in BIM tools.
• Resolve interferences and coordinate with other BIM teams (structural, civil).
• Manage model outputs for material lists and reports.
• Assist with pipe specifications and stress analysis support locations.
• Ensure proper integration with BIM tools and workflows.
