Job summary

fairlife, LLC, a Chicago-based nutrition company, is seeking a Plant Automated Equipment Technician (AET) to maintain automated assets and systems across the Webster, NY facility. You will be part of a shift maintenance team handling planned and unplanned work, ensuring reliable operation of packaging, processing, and warehouse automation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years maintenance experience in automated equipment system and assets development and troubleshooting.
• Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing maintenance or engineering team
• Knowledge of programming languages and software applications related to automation
• Knowledge of safety procedures and industry regulations
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in English: Comfortable with both written and verbal communication, including reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and troubleshoot automated processing, packaging, and warehousing systems and assets.
• Conduct tests to evaluate performance of automated systems and assets
• Maintain records of automated systems and assets
• Perform preventative maintenance on automated systems
• Assist with the development of training materials for other technicians
• Work as part of a team to plan, analyze and control the quality of processes.
• Install or replace control devices, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Drives; may include programming the device or downloading parameters.
• Work with ICTs and Engineering personnel to improve process control systems through Advanced Process Control, Alarm Management, and Operator Interface Optimization.
• Plant liaison for new system startup and commissioning by contractors, OEMs, and vendors; ensure transfer of changes and training.
• Training end users on operations of newly installed or modified automated equipment
• Provide technical training to other personnel.
• AET will work in all areas of the facility: Packaging, Processing, ASRS warehouse, Facilities/Utilities.
