Job summary

WM is seeking a Plant Associate to unload waste from vehicles, decontaminate cargo, and stage waste for scanning. The role operates with safety as a priority and requires attention to detail. Provides a $250 boot allowance, and a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position offers growth and comprehensive benefits.

As part of WM, you’ll contribute to sustainable operations while supporting daily plant activities and waste processing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience, preferably in plant environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand and follow health and safety directives and performance and conduct standards, policies and procedures that apply to the role and location.
• Valid Driver's Licence

Responsibilities

• Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste for incineration.
• Stage waste on conveyor system or properly stack waste for scanning in the Biotrack system.
• Scan waste into the Biotrack system for recordkeeping purposes.
• Load autoclave bins or incinerator hopper with waste for processing.
• Place reusable containers on the tub wash line for decontamination.
• Operate tub wash unit and ensure it is functioning; prepare tubs for reuse.
• Operate tub wash sprayer for oversized totes and verify readiness for reuse.
• Decontaminate cargo-carrying portions of vehicles and ensure no free liquid on the floor.
• Notify supervisor when vehicle is ready to move; address housekeeping issues immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
