Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an Assistant Controller in Manchester, CT, to partner with the Plant Controller and lead critical month‑end close, financial reporting, and general ledger integrity. This on‑site role emphasizes fixed asset management, intercompany accounting, cost reporting, and standard cost controls in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a hands‑on accounting background, strong technical skills, and experience driving continuous improvement in finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in a standard cost environment as an accountant/cost accountant.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Manage fixed assets, intercompany accounting, cost accounting, and inventory reporting.
• Monitor standard costs, BOMs, routings and assist in budgeting/forecasting processes.
