Job summary

Itape is seeking a Plant Assistant to support safe start-up and operation of the cast line, including loading feed, observing processes, and assisting changeovers.

You will inspect finished pieces, monitor controls, and help ensure production meets customer standards while maintaining a strong safety mindset and documenting metrics as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 2+ Years in a Manufacturing Environment experience required
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• General computer knowledge and experience handling paperwork.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
• Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention.

Responsibilities

• Records quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines, as necessary.
• Performs all work in a safety-first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor
