Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Business Analyst for our Flat Rock, MI plant to prepare and analyze operational reports, build BI dashboards, and present insights to plant leadership. You will partner with managers to organize information and communicate actionable insights.

Role includes limited Plant Manager administrative support, onsite work five days a week, and focus on timely, accurate reporting and data quality to drive informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain complex information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and distribute recurring operational and management reports.
• Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas requiring review or corrective action.
• Validate information for accuracy before sharing reports, dashboards, or analyses with plant leadership.
• Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from the Plant Manager and management team.
• Summarize findings and present insights in a clear, practical format with key takeaways.
• Develop and improve dashboards, reports, and BI solutions based on needs and user feedback.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and data sources.
• Document reporting processes and support data quality and consistency across the plant.
