Job summary

Tyson Foods in Dakota City, NE is seeking a Year-Round Accounting Intern. You will work in the plant accounting team focusing on cattle payments, payroll, yield and cost analysis, and reporting.

This paid, part-time internship offers exposure to live cattle, plant leadership, and real financial decision-making. Ideal candidates are accounting/finance majors with Excel proficiency and SAP exposure, available up to 20 hours/week during school and full-time in breaks.

Qualifications

• Incoming junior, senior, or graduate student with at least one semester remaining and pursuing Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile daily cattle payments and settlements with accuracy.
• Assist with plant payroll data entry, validation, and reconciliation.
• Support yield and costing analysis by tracking actual vs. standard yield and variances.
• Prepare weekly/monthly plant financial reporting for leadership and KPI packages.
