Job summary

NWU in Toledo, OH is seeking a motivated accounting intern to support the finance team with GAAP-compliant records and reporting.

You will prepare journal entries, analyze financial statements, participate in process improvements, and assist in shared services and plant accounting tasks. This internship requires enrollment in a BS in Accounting or Finance and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS program in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Completion of at least sophomore year by summer 2027.
• Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to US GAAP.
• Prepare journal entries and perform financial statement reconciliations.
• Recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
• Participate in project work in the Shared Services area, manage inventories in the Plant Accounting areas, and contribute to overall process improvement.
• Perform various other duties as needed to support the business.
