Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking an Accountant to support weekly production reports, finished inventories, transfers from other plants, and month-end closings. You will assist with payroll audits, asset audits, and budget development, while improving internal controls in line with GAAP.

You will collaborate with operations to identify cost savings through detailed reporting and cost analysis, ensuring accuracy in general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting processes across the plant network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related job experience.
• 1-3 years' experience in plant production accounting.
• Must communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system, Excel and Microsoft.
• Understanding of payroll, general ledger, accounts payable and cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly production reports and inventories.
• Assist with month end closing and reporting.
• Assist with development of internal control procedures and compliance with GAAP.
• Work with operations to reduce costs through reporting and analysis.
