Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Plant Accountant for a manufacturing operation in California. You will own product costing, standard costs, and cost models, and partner with operations leadership to improve cost efficiency.

You will analyze labor and production costs, perform inventory reconciliations, and prepare month-end close entries, variances, and budgeting support. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years in cost accounting are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to cost accounting.
• Experience in manufacturing or related operational environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, product costing, and financial analysis.
• Understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product costing, standard costs, and activity-based cost models.
• Analyze labor, production, and operational costs to identify trends and opportunities.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and support inventory valuation processes.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals, allocations, and account analyses.
• Conduct variance analysis and communicate findings to management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
