Job summary

Cacique Foods seeks a Staff Accountant to join our Amarillo accounting team. You will support general ledger reconciliations, analyze accounts, and assist in the timely preparation of financial statements under the supervision of the Controller.

You will maintain fixed assets schedules, prepare monthly close entries, and assist with audits and process improvements. Manufacturing context and ERP systems experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; Dynamics 365 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and review monthly journal entries with proper documentation.
• Prepare balance sheet and P&L analyses, focusing on automation of cash reconciliation.
• Review processes and identify improvements.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with monthly financial statements for timely distribution to management.
• Assist with external audits.
• Assist with special projects and manage multiple priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and a partner to the plant leadership. The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks with a focus on GL account reconciliations and account analysis. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, analyze, and review monthly journal entries ensuring proper documentation.
• Prepare account analyses, including balance sheet and PL results, with a focus on automating and improvingcashreconciliation process.
• Review and analyze the organization's processes and procedures and identify and recommend improvements.
• Maintain fixed asset and related depreciation schedules.
• Assistwith analysis and preparation of monthly financial statements fortimelydistribution to management.
• Assistwith annual external audits.
• Assistwith special projects asrequested, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting role
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
