Job summary

Morgan Foods, Inc. is seeking a full-time Security Guard at the Austin, IN site. This on-site role guards the plant, controls access, monitors traffic, assists employees and visitors, and protects company property.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Prior security or related experience is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous security, guard, gatehouse, military, law enforcement, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred, but not required.
• Must be legally eligible and able to meet all company requirements for an armed security position.
• Basic to intermediate computer literacy preferred.
• Good written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to accurately complete logs, records passes, and other required documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, secure entrance and controls access to company property.
• Directs visitors, vendors, and truck drivers to appropriate areas.
• Verifies credentials and authorization before granting access.
• Maintains logs for trucks, visitors, and other traffic entering/leaving the facility.
• Performs light maintenance and housekeeping in guard areas.
• Supports special projects and adheres to company policies and procedures.
