Job summary

Allied Universal in Christine, TX is seeking a Security Officer - Plant Access Control to safeguard clients at a utilities location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and control visitor flow while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers at a utilities location by following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, authorizations, visitor registrations, and contractor credentials in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate access logs, issue and collect visitor or contractor credentials, and report access irregularities to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
