Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of construction-related experience.
• Knowledge of commercial and residential building codes, regulations, and ordinances.
• Ability to interpret and enforce building codes and assist with plan corrections.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plan specifications and calculations for new construction, additions, and alterations to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate projects with Building Official, Planning, Engineering and other departments.
• Advise stakeholders on permit requirements and code interpretations.
• Maintain records and generate reports; assist field inspectors as needed.
