SAFEbuilt is seeking a Plans Examiner to join our team of professionals. This role offers opportunities for dynamic, motivated self-starters working on a variety of assignments within our reputable service suite.

You will review plans for compliance with building codes, coordinate with municipal clients, and provide guidance on field issues while maintaining high standards of accuracy and communication.

Qualifications

ICC Plans Examiner certifications preferred.
Experience in reviewing construction plans.

Responsibilities

Provide non-structural plan reviews of commercial, industrial and residential buildings for code compliance.
Review all plans and specifications to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal laws.
Initiate preconstruction conferences with contractors and developers.
Provide technical direction to inspection personnel for field problems.
Assess and resolve complaints from clients and designers.
Interact with municipal clients and staff regularly.
May perform inspections and interpret codes in the field as needed.
Attend meetings and educational seminars related to building codes.
