Qualifications

• Massachusetts State Certification (Plans Examiner) required.
• ICC Plans Examiner Certification(s) preferred; Building discipline is a plus.
• Demonstrated municipal or third-party plan review experience.
• Strong knowledge of Massachusetts amendments and codes.
• Excellent written communication and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive plan reviews for compliance with the Massachusetts Building Code.
• Review architectural, structural, fire and life-safety, accessibility, and egress components.
• Coordinate with design professionals, municipal officials, and internal staff.
• Provide clear, defensible code interpretations and written review comments.
• Maintain accurate and timely plan review documentation.
