Job summary

Petco is seeking a Space Management Planner to optimize in-store layouts and planograms across U.S. stores. You will analyze category space, allocate fixtures by sales and turnover, and ensure data integrity in planograms, partnering with Store Design for accurate floorplans.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Business or Marketing, 1–3 years retail space planning experience, and is proficient with JDA Space Planning and Microsoft Office. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Space Management Planner or equivalent.
• Experience using JDA Space Planning or similar space management software required.
• 1–3 years in retail store management preferred, with knowledge of inventory and merchandising.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Create and validate complex layout drawings using JDA Space Planning.
• Analyze need for POG changes and adjust fixtures based on sales and trends.
• Allocate category space across stores and ensure planogram accuracy.
• Maintain data integrity of planograms and store allocations.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards for inline and promotional displays.
• Collaborate with Store Design to place POGs and displays correctly.
• Develop planogram reporting tools to support decision making.
