Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Demand Analyst to master systems and processes for inventory management across stores and distribution centers. You will collaborate across teams to optimize assortment, support replenishment, and drive promotional strategies.

You will work with cross-functional partners to forecast demand, manage stock levels and ensure in-stock availability while maximizing profitability.

Qualifications

• Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office applications; strong data extraction and analysis from databases.
• 2–3 years of replenishment buying and/or store operations experience is required.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and business problem solving skills are needed.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills are necessary for cross-functional work.
• Ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Maintain in-stock levels to goal through replenishment and allocation strategies.
• Manage baseline and promotional lift sales forecast by ski/location.
• Support promotional, financial, assortment/transition and other business goals with replenishment and allocation plans.
• Collaborate with Merchandise Planner on promotional and secondary planning.
• Identify and resolve inventory opportunities from DC to store to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Drive operational goals: in-stock, inventory budget, turnover, IMROI.
• Work with merchant partners to define ski entrance/exit strategies and execute them.
• Perform root-cause analysis via exception reporting to improve inventory management.
• Develop cross-functional strategies to achieve department objectives.
• Build cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with store partners.
• Think strategically and implement tactics to meet goals under deadlines.
• Prioritize and multi-task under tight timelines.
