Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in planning, Landscape Architecture, Engineering or related field with three-year relevant experience.
• AICP certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Valid Class I Driver's license and satisfactory MVR.
• Knowledge of urban/regional planning, laws, ordinances, and GIS.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public, officials and staff.
• Ability to prepare written reports and public presentations.

Mansioni

• Reviews residential, commercial and LDP plans for zoning compliance and design standards.
• Performs site visits and field inspections to verify plan accuracy.
• Processes rezoning, variance, conditional use and special use applications.
• Drafts staff reports, legal ads and public hearing materials.
• Interprets zoning codes and land use policies for reviews and inquiries.
• Provides front counter and phone support on zoning questions and permitting procedures.
• Meets with property owners and developers to explain regulations and guide reviews.
• Supports Planning Commission with agendas, reports, and inquiries.
• Maintains records and supports long-range planning initiatives.
