Job summary

Dunaway Associates Llc is seeking a Planning Intern to gain hands-on experience shaping communities in Texas. You will work with seasoned planners on mapping, zoning analysis, and policy research, and help collect and analyze data using GIS tools.

This paid internship offers exposure to real projects and professional growth, with opportunities to develop skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and landscape design software within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field.
Basic knowledge of landscape architecture and site design principles.
Familiar with AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, or Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with planners on mapping, zoning analysis, and policy research.
Collect and analyze data from surveys, field work, or GIS tools.
Summarize findings to support planning decisions.
Organize project files, maintain records, and help with scheduling.
Attend team meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing projects.
Observe professional planning practices and build technical skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
