Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an Intern for our Planning and Landscape Architecture team starting January 2027.

The Intern will collaborate with an interdisciplinary group of planners, engineers, landscape architects, and other support staff on a wide range of planning efforts for public and private clients, including comprehensive plan preparation, mobility, parks and trails planning, and active transportation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in community/urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or a closely related field
• Great communication skills
• Solid relationship and team building skills
• Self-motivated and strong organization skills
• Previous knowledge or interest in learning of computer programs (ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office) and the ability to produce attractive maps, infographics, and documents

Responsibilities

• Support of senior staff projects, public engagement, plan development, report writing and document production, and assisting with the preparation of computer-generated maps and graphic elements needed to convey the ideas generated in each planning effort.
