Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage, through the Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility, invites applicants for a full-time position at 3000 Arctic Boulevard. Regular hours are Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00, with remote work opportunities possible after probation at management discretion.

Open to the general public and current Municipal employees; no visa sponsorship offered. A 5% premium for a valid State of Alaska Professional Engineer license applies, with evidence required.

This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Union.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

LOCATION

3000 Arctic Boulevard

Employees who are hired or rehired to any position shall be placed at the entrance pay step, and advancement from the entrance step to the maximum step within a pay grade shall be by successive steps.

Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per PandP 40-40.

To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances.

This position is eligible for a five percent (5%) additional professional certification pay with a valid State of Alaska Professional Engineering (P.E.) License. Eligible candidates are required to provide evidence of the professional certification.

Must Possess And/or Obtain

Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.

Valid State of Alaska Drivers License and satisfactory Driving Record at time of hire.
