Qualifications

• Proven experience in a planning enforcement role.
• Knowledge of Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
• Understanding of National Planning Policy Framework.
• Experience gathering evidence and handling appeals.

Responsibilities

• Investigate breaches of planning control and manage caseload from receipt to resolution.
• Carry out site visits and produce clear written records with photographs.
• Assess whether a breach occurred and if enforcement is appropriate.
• Prepare and serve statutory notices as required.
• Negotiate with landowners and developers to achieve compliance.
• Prepare witness statements and case files for appeals and prosecutions.
