Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a Planning & Analytics Engineering Manager. In this role, you will shape and configure SAP Analytics Cloud tools and SAP BPC within the Corporate Technology Engineering group, delivering dynamic planning and analytical capabilities tailored to multiple business sectors.

NBCU has deployed SAP for financial, logistics, and HR processes, with SAP BPC used for enterprise and division-level planning. We have developed global SAP BPC solutions for complex planning and accounting functions.

The Planning & Analytics Engineering Manager will create feasible planning and accounting solutions by developing blueprint documents, technical specifications, designing and implementing solutions, and reviewing team work according to standards. You will also review and revise standards to ensure best practices.

Responsibilities

1. Manage daily operations of SAP BPC 2021 Classic, ensuring system reliability and performance.
2. Lead design and architecture of SAP BPC 2021 Classic solutions for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation.
3. Deliver effective planning solutions in SAC Planning.
4. Design and implement new SAC Planning solutions and migrate existing BPC solutions into SAC Planning.
5. Oversee SAP Products (BPC, BW, SAC) maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
6. Implement security and governance best practices.
7. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the SAP BPC team.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve complex BPC issues.
9. Review design recommendations for quality and consistency.
10. Engage with business units to perform fit-gap analysis.
11. Participate in solution build, testing, rollouts, and upgrades; assist with project management as needed.
12. Configure SAP BPC processes using EPM skills, BADI, script logics, and computations.
13. Advise on solution roadmap considering current BW4HANA footprint.
14. Research and recommend strategies for future BPC and SAC solutions.
15. Collaborate with peers to integrate SAP applications (S4, BW4, BO, BPC).
16. Build trust as an internal advisor for key users.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
• 7+ years of SAP BPC and/or BPC Netweaver experience at an architect level, implementing complex planning solutions.
• Hands-on experience with EPM Add-in, Analysis for Office, and BPC reporting tools.
• Experience with data modeling, blending, and transformation for reporting.
• Ability to integrate SAC with SAP BW, HANA, S/4, and other data sources.
• Strong expertise in SAC planning design, analytical applications, and data modeling.
• Experience migrating from BPC to SAC platform.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and a desire to learn.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with project management.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business or equivalent.

Desired Characteristics:

• SAP SAC Certification (a plus).
• SAP BPC Certification (a plus).

• This position is fully remote, contributing from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most likely an employee’s residence.
