Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Ontario, CA seeks a Temp-to-Hire Planner Analyst to coordinate sales demand through production planning and procurement, providing production schedules to meet customer requirements and inventory goals.

On-site role with travel to Mexicali as needed. Requirements include 5 years of purchasing/planning experience, a related Bachelor’s degree preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with purchasing, planning and material management/systems (SAP and manufacturing environmental preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred.
• Good Microsoft Office Skills
• Take initiative to work collectively and collaboratively with customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Be able to work in an office environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules against sales demand and capacity to support the company’s monthly sales schedule and customer required dates.
• Orders materials to support plan and coordinates the timely receipt of material with Purchasing, the Stockroom and Production.
• Review and modify scheduling of material to ensure uninterrupted production and/or customer changes as well as maintaining inventory levels appropriate to company goals.
• Maintain materials/planning related reports and information as required.
• May be asked to support other department projects/activities as required or assigned.
• Establishes, controls and reports lead times based on demand and capacity for lines of responsibility.
• Communicate planning needs cross functionally through Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and Mexicali production facility.
• Communicate as required with off-site Customer Service group.
• Travel to Mexicali facility as needed.
