This position provides customer service for customers via telephone, in-person and email contact. You will conduct thorough reviews and process zoning applications in accordance with the zoning ordinance and/or special use permits/rezonings; ensure routing procedures are followed for routing customers to the zoning counter and other service counter windows at other agencies; accept and process payments and reconcile daily receipts and prepares daily deposits. This position is a lead position at the zoning counter and is responsible for review and critique of the work products of the zoning technician and zoning planners and is a supporting role for the zoning technicians, assisting them with zoning ordinance interpretations and the interpretation of proffers and special use permits.
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 5 years of related experience.
This position works a standard Monday-Friday schedule, working 37.5 hours per week.
This position can telework 1-2 days per week after an initial probationary period.

Full-time positions with Prince William County Government qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
