JOB OVERVIEW

Primoris Pipeline and Field Services is currently seeking a Planner-Scheduler. This role will be responsible for preparing project schedules for small to mid-cap projects, as per the project’s contract and budget requirements, and for the implementation and effectiveness of the project schedule. The Planner-Scheduler will concentrate on continued development of the schedule and work closely with project team members, which may include project managers, superintendents, and estimators. This role will also involve processing, organizing, and delivering all the elements necessary for an installation work package, allowing construction crews to perform their work safely, efficiently, and effectively.

JOB DUTIES

• Prepare and maintain project schedule using current project systems tool (Primavera P6).
• Interface with client representatives to communicate and receive schedule update information.
• Assist with preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Analyze project specifications and workload capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine tools and human resource requirements.
• Plan and schedule workflow for the project team according to previously established guidelines, sequences, and lead times.
• Confer with project managers and engineers to determine the status of assigned projects.
• Integrate subcontractor schedules into the Master Schedule.
• Provide timely and accurate updating of project schedules.
• Resource loading and analysis of data into schedules as required – Primavera.
• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with project staff.
• Develop Baseline Schedules.
• Manage the development of the overall CPM schedule and assure coordination with the Project Superintendent and the procurement schedule with the Project Engineer.
• Monitor and maintain the quality of schedule reflection files.
• Assist in weekly/monthly project schedule updates with the project team and subcontractors.
• Assist the project team in fragmenting the project schedule when required.
• Provide insight to the Project Manager concerning schedule updates as to critical path and near-critical path activities, and other potential issues with the project schedule.
• Assist Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitor such schedules to determine impact on master schedule, and help in formulating actions to correct scheduling problems.
• Assist Project Managers in the development of delay claim impacts.
• Assist Project Managers in the development of recovery schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• One (1) to five (5) years of project scheduling experience.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work well within a deadline-driven environment.
• Professional attitude and ability to conduct oneself in a positive manner.
• Must respect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
