Job summary

Morson Group is seeking an experienced Scheduler to lead detailed project schedules for a Nuclear project. This contract role requires expert use of Primavera P6 and a track record in high-volume environments.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, manage risk and critical path, and deliver regular status reports while ensuring schedules align with project goals and timelines. US-based security requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 8+ years scheduling experience in high-volume projects.
• Experience in the steam, nuclear, or gas power industry.
• 5+ years using Primavera P6 for scheduling; comfortable with: 1500+ tasks on the logic side.
• Scheduling, Planning, Tracking, & Reporting.
• Work breakdown structure, resource management, cost estimation, risk analysis.
• Experience maintaining, updating and reporting scheduling status with clients.
• Experience supporting subcontractors scope management (schedule, billings, change orders, RFIs).
• Experience working on/with projects on the construction site outside of Scheduling (PM, Superintendent, Cost Controls).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Analyze project timelines, identify delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather information and integrate it into the schedule.
• Monitor progress and update schedules to reflect scope/resource/timeline changes.
• Prepare schedule reports including progress updates, critical path analysis, and variance reports.
• Ensure schedules align with project goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with procurement and resource management to ensure material and personnel availability.
• Provide training and support to construction teams and junior schedulers.

Location: 100% Remote, US
Openings: 1
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 1 Year
Rate: $50-56/hour (W2 contract + Benefits)
Working Hours: 8am - 5pm (EST timezone preferred)
Project: Nuclear
Travel: 20% domestic, possible Canada travel

Day to Day:

• The ideal candidate will need to be an expert with developing, maintaining, and managing detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (Scheduling Software).
• Extensive understanding of construction drawings, estimates, and contracts.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary project information and integrate it into the schedule.
• Analyze project timelines, identify potential delays, and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect changes in scope, resources, and timelines.
• Prepare and present schedule reports, including progress updates, critical path analysis, and variance reports.
• Ensure that project schedules align with overall project goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with procurement and resource management teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials and personnel. Conduct regular schedule reviews and adjustments to maintain project alignment and meet deadlines.
• Provide training and support to multiple construction teams, junior schedulers and other regional staff as needed.

Must Haves:

• 8+ years of scheduling experience within a high volume, high touchpoint project environment
• Experience in the steam, nuclear, or gas power industry
• 5+ years of Experience using Primavera/P6 for scheduling. Must be comfortable with:
• 1500+ tasks on the logic side
• Scheduling, Planning, Tracking, & Reporting
• Work breakdown structure, resource management, cost estimation, risk analysis
• Experience maintaining, updating and report scheduling status updates internal and external (with clients)
• Experience supporting subcontractors scope management (schedule, billings, change orders, RFIs, etc.)
• Some sort of experience working on/with projects on the construction site outside of Scheduling. (Ex: Project Manager,Superintendent, Cost Controls)

Additional Requirements

• Must be eligible to meet the client’s applicable US nuclear facility access and security requirements.
• Previous badge access to a nuclear facility within the last five years is a huge plus.
