Job description

We are seeking a Planner/Scheduler to join our team in San Leandro. The Planner/Customer Service is responsible for efficiently routing home deliveries, scheduling daily jobs, assigning crews to each job, and communicating with customer service to ensure each customer is handled with care. This individual will also work closely with accounts to assure complete customer service, manage a team of drivers to ensure operating procedures are followed and DOT compliance, and keep track of all shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Assign, plan and dispatch drivers/contractors
• Develop partnerships to secure hauling opportunities
• Manage daily pick up and delivery schedules based on customer needs
• Oversee contractor performance to ensure customer satisfaction and on‑time delivery
• Update shipment tracking and maintain timely data integrity
• Manage contractor profitability
• Other duties assigned by management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• Minimum of 1 year Dispatching or Warehouse Supervisory experience (required)
• Ability to work well with a team, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, constantly changing, high‑demand work environment
• Strong problem‑solving and project‑management skills
• Self‑starter motivated by daily challenges
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong geographical knowledge
