Rate And Compensation
The successful candidate may be offered a position in either the Planner or Senior Planner classification.
The salary range for the Planner is $66,929 - $83,662 annually.
The salary range for the Senior Planner is $73,790 - $92,237 annually.

The Plano Planning Department is seeking a Planner or Senior Planner to join our Long Range/Mobility team! This position helps shape and implement a community-driven vision for Plano’s long-term growth through long-range planning efforts, including the Comprehensive Plan, small area plans, mobility planning, and other special studies.
This role offers the opportunity to tackle complex planning issues, conduct research and analysis, and develop policies, strategies, and plans that translate community priorities into action and help guide the city’s future growth and development. You’ll also contribute to local and regional mobility planning efforts that influence how people move throughout the community. Along the way, you’ll work closely with engaged residents, development stakeholders, and colleagues across the organization to help turn long-term goals into meaningful outcomes for Plano.
