Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Planner III to develop production plans and schedules to meet customer demand. You will create shop orders, prepare inventory targets, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time delivery.

Responsibilities include analyzing forecasts and material needs, closing jobs, maintaining ERP data (Epicor Kinetic) and Power BI dashboards, and leading planning meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Related Field of Study.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
• Or nine (9) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Or three (3) years of experience may be considered with a Masters Degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans based on the master production schedule.
• Analyze forecasts, inventory levels, and material requirements to ensure continuity.
• Create and close manufacturing jobs, monitoring and following up on status.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Quality and Engineering teams.
• Identify planning risks and bottlenecks; recommend corrective actions.
• Provide data‑driven insights during planning meetings.
• Maintain appropriate levels of raw material to support production targets.
• Lead and/or support scheduled planning meetings.
• Perform critical ERP transactions.
• Prepare special reports on status of production.
• Maintain planning data and ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic, Power BI).
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training to junior planners; develop standard processes.

The Planner III develops production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and creates shop orders and prepares inventory targets based on the production plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans based on the master production schedule
• Analyze forecasts, inventory levels, and material requirements to ensure operational continuity
• Create and close manufacturing jobs, monitoring and following up on job status to ensure timely completion
• Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure successful execution of production and project plans
• Identify planning risks, production bottlenecks, and process deviations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve performance
• Provide data‑driven insights during production and operations planning meetings
• Maintain appropriate levels of raw material to support production requirements and inventory targets
• Lead and/or support scheduled planning meetings
• Perform critical ERP transactions
• Prepare special reports on status of production
• Maintain accurate planning data and system integrity within ERP and planning tools, including Epicor Kinetic and Power BI
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, operational efficiency, and overall business performance
• Provide guidance, training, and support to junior planners while contributing to the development and standardization of planning processes and best practices
