Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Production Planner II to plan, track, and release production material requirements to support aircraft product manufacturing.

You will align with sales schedules and customer delivery dates, using the MRP/ERP system to manage orders and inventory across make-to-order and make-to-stock environments. You will collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure timely material availability and on-time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• APICS CPIM or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of multi-level BOMs, lead times, safety stock, and min/max inventory.

Responsibilities

• Plan, track, and prioritize production material requirements to meet Sales Order schedule dates.
• Create and release work orders to the shop floor in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain process flow charts for key or new products.
• Schedule, prioritize, and monitor production processes and material availability.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to meet delivery commitments.
• Release work orders within required timeframes considering capacity and inventory.
• Support multiple product lines and make sound planning decisions.
• Identify issues affecting delivery and coordinate corrective actions.
• Continuously improve use of MRP/ERP systems and planning tools.
