Job Summary Coordinates non-recurring orders of parts, equipment, and services while supporting production planning, order management and scheduling activities. Serves as a key player to ensure material availability, production plan execution, inventory optimization, and on-time delivery performance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Planning, Scheduling & Order Management
  • Lead order processing activities.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and approve product releases into production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.
  • Monitor production schedules and proactively address issues impacting committed ship dates (CSD), lead times, response times, and inventory objectives.
  • Coordinate with Master Planners and Master Schedulers to manage product life cycle requirements and material availability.
  • Support inventory control, supply chain management, material planning, production scheduling, and demand fulfillment activities.
  • Provide input to management and coordinate production rescheduling due to design changes, labor constraints, material shortages, backlogs, or other scheduling disruptions.
  • Support production launches, product phase-outs, and engineering change implementations to ensure customer requirements are met while minimizing material obsolescence and excess inventory.
Inventory Management
  • Work closely with Planning and Inventory Control teams to minimize excess inventory, including raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and semi-finished goods.
  • Support banking and buffering strategies to balance inventory requirements and accommodate volume fluctuations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to optimize inventory turns while supporting customer demand.
Production Coordination
  • Maintain daily communication with manufacturing supervisors and production leaders to monitor production plan execution and schedule adherence.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Master Planning, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, and Production Control to ensure successful plan execution.
  • Coordinate activities related to material readiness, capacity constraints, and production priorities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.
Process Improvement
  • Drive process improvements within Order Management, Planning, Inventory Control, and cross-functional support areas.
  • Analyze operational data and develop recommendations to improve planning accuracy, inventory performance, and production throughput.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to improve service levels and operational performance.
Knowledge, Skills, And Qualifications
Technical & Analytical Skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
  • PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of Jabil software packages, ERP/MRP systems, and planning tools.
  • Ability to generate reports, analyze trends, and interpret performance metrics.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs and charts.
Communication Skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, clients, and the general public.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and prepare routine business reports.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret work instructions, correspondence, reports, and visual aids.
