Job description

Summary: Develops and maintains Production/Materials schedules, ensuring on time delivery. Coordinates changes and priorities with the business units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains Production/Materials schedules;
  • Attends morning Production/Materials meetings and reports on schedule status;
  • Communicates Production/Materials changes and order changes;
  • Acknowledges customer orders and maintain lead times;
  • Coordinates material flow and availability;
  • Maintains order status in MAPICS;
  • Ensures purchased parts are available prior to Production/Materials start;
  • Assists Material Manager with quarterly inventory;
  • Works with coworkers in a professional and cooperative manner;
  • Maintains good attendance, flexibility, adaptable to changing business needs, and continually learns and applies new skills;
  • Meets minimum physical/mental demands with or without reasonable accommodations;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience
  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred; plus six months to one year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability

Ability to see, read, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software.
