Job summary

Donaldson Company seeks a Planner I to develop and coordinate weekly production schedules based on customer orders and delivery requirements. The role supports a fast-paced manufacturing environment, focusing on scheduling and materials management using Oracle systems to drive reliable execution and inventory accuracy.

The candidate will work on-site at the Chillicothe, MO facility daily, collaborating across production teams to ensure schedules meet demand and optimize efficiency and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Planning and scheduling experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly production schedules aligned with master schedule.
• Schedule rework, unfinished parts and new product releases as needed.
• Analyze shortages of manufactured and purchased parts and prepare supporting materials.
• Coordinate with customers, sales offices, Corporate, and plant teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Expedite parts and adjust schedules when needed and direct supervisors accordingly.
• Comply with standard work practices, SOPs, and PPE policies.

The Planner I willdevelop and coordinate production schedules based on customer orders and delivery requirements. Supporting a fastpaced manufacturing environment, the position focuses on production planning, scheduling, and materials management using Oracle systems to drive reliable execution and inventory accuracy.

Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Chillicothe, MO facility daily.

Role Responsibilities:

• Plans and develops weekly production line schedules of assigned departments based on the master schedule plan.
• May schedule rework, unfinished parts and assemblies, new product releases and special orders.
• Analyzes shortages of both manufactured and purchased parts. Prepares all necessary support materials for production which includes route sheets, preparing shop packets, and printing shipping documents.
• Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, Corporate, and plant production departments to ensure the on-time delivery of products through monitoring work orders from start to finish.
• Expedites and secures parts needed for production.
• Makes or recommends revisions to planned production schedules as necessary when schedules cannot be met which includes planning and preparing backup schedules and directing production supervisors on utilization of personnel.
• Keeps manager informed of production scheduling issues requiring attention.
• Provide support in other areas when required.
• Comply with standard work practices and SOPs.
• Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Planning and scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in supply chain, business, or related area.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle
• Experience in lean manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports
• Good communication skills and strong sense of teamwork
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively
